Design Guide

The Design Guide is intended to give you insight on what’s available to personalize your resin keepsake and make it meaningful. I included the most popular options but there are plenty of other add ons not included that can be requested.  My Instagram has tons of examples to look at! I reach out to every order to confirm add ins and design. Enjoy!
With love,
Michelle

What materials are used?

All my Jewelry is made of either .925 sterling silver, .999 fine silver, 14k gold filled, or solid gold. All items are clearly marked in product descriptions. Jewellery is not always hallmarked due to thin ring bands. Glitters are biodegradable and I source only ethical Mica powders. Each order is worked on separately and everything is labelled. Rest assured your element is in good care, and 100% it is your element in the keepsake provided to you.

Ring Sizing

Before you order it’s recommended that you get sized by a professional jeweler. I do not resize rings made of resin, as it can easily be damaged by heat. Be aware that your ring size can fluctuate post partum or with weight gain/loss. Resizing is possible from a certified jeweler in your area who is comfortable using a laser welder. This process does not heat the stone.

Flowers

Flowers of all kinds can be added to your piece! Funeral flowers, birth flowers, even wedding bouquet petals! I have lots of flowers to choose from and you can also send me your own. They just need to be 100% dried. Flowers tend to look a little darker once placed in resin, similarly to what you would expect them to look like if wet. Alternatively, some lighter coloured flowers can look more transparent.

Crushed Genuine Opal

Opal adds that something extra.  Beautiful  pieces of rainbow Opal reflect all the colours of the rainbow. It’s not easy to see at first glance but more so when it catches the light with movement, adding depth and dimension to compliment ashes.

Metallic Flakes

These come in gold, silver, and copper. A more organic look than glitter.

Hair/Fur/Fabrics

Hair and fur tend to look a little more transparent once placed in resin, fabrics looks darker, similarly to what you would expect them to look like if wet. Certain base colours will allow for hair or ash to stand out. A darker base colour is better for lighter hair or fur, and  lighter background works better for darker hair or fur. Sometimes people don't mind the visibility, they just like knowing it's included in their piece.

Base Colour

I have made a demo of a fraction of the colours I have. Please let me know if you want a different colour or Custom colour. Ashes also come in a variety of colours. Some are black, grey, yellow, tan, etc and this can impact the colour of the final piece. I tend to place ashes so they are visible, so please use checkout note to let me know you’d prefer me to blend them in. In some cases the ash is so fine it is like a powder and having the ashes very visible is not possible. Product listings include only the most popular colour choices but any of these can be requested, as well as custom blends to match eye hair or fur colour.
